Transatlantic Idea Sharing with Turner

A couple of weeks ago we received a visit from our sister company Turner Construction. Embodied carbon specialist, Emi LaFountain, who is pursuing a Master’s degree in Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge, spent the afternoon in our offices sharing her insights with the Real PM team as well as joining an idea-sharing meeting with sustainability specialists from Arup.

The Real PM team was treated to an engaging presentation showcasing Turner’s organisation, initiatives, processes, and valuable know-how. The main topic of our conversation was around the group’s commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption of on-site construction operations by 50% by 2030. The collaborative meeting involved a lot of knowledge sharing and we were very happy that we could, on the one hand, provide valuable insights on UK legislation around site waste management, and at the same time obtain valuable cutting-edge insight on low carbon technologies.

Lendlease were also kind enough to organise a site tour to round off a great day in London!
