Project Description
The Gresham St. Pauls project included a substantial refurbishment and extension of an existing building on the site, consisting of a commercial Grade A offices and retail with 10 levels above ground and 1 level below ground.
Expansive restoration and refurbishment work at Garrard House in London’s financial Sector. The works substantially renovate and vertically extend the existing and former Schroders London Headquarters building to create a new high spec office environment within the footprint of the existing structure. The Works are being undertaken by the Main Contractor Mace under a Design and Build Major Form of Contract. Works include the demolition of the existing atrium and façade elements to infill these areas and create additional floor area. The existing Portland stone façade will be preserved and cleaned, whilst the architectural details brought into line with modern aesthetics. Demolition of the existing building from roof to the level 7 slab, and the construction of 3 new floors will be undertaken. A mixture of reconstituted stone and curtain wall facades and terraced areas will be constructed to form the vertical extension. Internally, core modification works including two new lift shafts (bringing the total to 6 passenger lifts) and relocating the goods lift will be built. A full fit out of landlord areas and office fit-out to Cat A, including blinds and floor boxes, on the office areas will be completed.
