Real PM Hosts Work Experience
Real PM were lucky enough to host two students for their work experience.
It was great to see the students learn more about the construction industry and the inner workings of a project management and planning role.
During the week they were partnered with Real PM staff where:
➡ Nathan Wharton demonstrated the first principles of programming as part of an exercise on how to programme a cup of tea.
➡ Nathan also took one of the students on a site visit to OlympiaUK where Real PM are providing Programme Management Consulting and Progress Monitoring and Reporting. See photos below!
➡ Martin Scadden gave them a talk on Real PM’s role on the new Google HQ in Kings Cross. You can read more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/e2Sw3XYS
➡ Nathan Bryant took the eldest of the two on two site visits. One to a new confidential project to review access and logistics and the other to the Smithfield Meat Market site where he was given a talk by Sir Robert McAlpine and shown the progress of the demolition and construction of the Listed Buildings that will become the home of the new London Museum. Real PM are providing Planning and PM services on the Museum project and are very grateful to be a part of a project team that includes Stanton Williams, Arup and AKT II
➡ Sabrina Clark gave them a tutorial on Business Development and how to generate Leads in the UK and the international construction market for both Real PM and our parent company Turner International.
It really was a pleasure to see the students engage with our industry. We hope it was as exciting for them as it was for us to see it all anew in their eyes.
