Springfield University Hospital

Project Description

The Springfield University Hospital was at the centre of a 33-hectare estate regeneration. This included the urban design around the hospital as well as the planning and phasing of the surrounding residential development. The hospital consists of two distinct buildings and provides a range of mental health inpatient wards along with other outpatient services.

The build-out sequence of this redevelopment project was constrained by the requirement to keep the hospital operational at all times. As a result a detailed understanding of how the hospital operated was required to enable us to establish a logical construction and migration sequence.
