Project Description
The Custom House project is a hotel-led mixed-use development in EC3. The Grade I listed building will undergo a sustainable refurbishment to feature public spaces, cultural offerings, and a spa and health centre. Located at 20 Lower Thames Street, the future hotel is situated on a 2.4 acre-site that overlooks Tower Bridge.
The developer’s vision is to ‘create a new hotel and cultural offering that positively contributes to the local economy and can serve as an asset to the local area.’
Real PM’s Role
Having provided an initial CMP to support a previous planning application, Real PM were approached by a new client to provide a refreshed CMP to support a new planning application. The new application has developed the previously consented scheme undertaking a complex, sensitive and complete refurbishment of the Listed building, which prior to 2021 was occupied by HMRC and previously home of the London customs trade for over 200 years.
